RAM upgrade - Leave Magsafe connected?

hello everyone,

i've got mid-2009 15" mbp 2.8ghz core2duo , 4gb of ram. aside silly , unaffordable ideas of getting 11"mba , thunderbolt display, it's still more enough needs. however, lion has come along, , fantastic ability full screen apps , swipe between them, find machine bogging down , paging out, despite having on 1gb of inactive memory.

so, have ordered 8gb of ram, , swap when arrives tomorrow. however, have been bit afraid of frying logic board when going anywhere near it. when upgrading desktops in past, have kept machine plugged in switched off @ wall machine earthed, can't find on these forums saying if keeping magsafe connected off same.

there received wisdom on matter?

i recommend having unplugged , wearing static bracelet. if don't have one, touch metal surface before getting close chips (i believe in manual came computer, check there more detailed info.)

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
