Gaming on a 1.8GHz Power Mac

hey guys.

ive got dual 1.8ghz g5 power mac (june 2004) radeon 9600 xt. play few games here , there (halo, ut2004, doom 3, quake 4, cal of duty 2) , wondering if worth upgrade nvidia geforce 6800 ultra.

wouldn't have considered normally, found card going ~$135. concern cpu speed going more of bottleneck here - ut2004 , doom 3 engined games hear quite cpu bound, , own observations seem confirm (they max out single cpu.)

benchmarks can find mac 6800 ultra have card stuffed 2.5ghz or faster computer, not relevant me.

got experience here?

thanks!

why pay $135 older card on unsupported machine? understand wanting game on whatever you've got access thats quite expensive considering you're getting. said may worth if can't see upgrading computer anytime soon. however, me seem foolish spend $135 on old graphics card when go newer, better gaming machine.
