macbook external monitor data retrieval - any chance?

hi, i've searched query covers few themes , can't find covers them all... apologies if it's come before. need help.

macbook 2007, core 2 duo, a118 took catastrophic tumble. there's breathtaking gash on top, middle of plastic lid , screen looks though it's gunshot. machine on , asleep @ time of accident. can see corner of blue, wake-from-sleep-enter-password screen can't enter name or password, text boxes obscured/mouse vanishes enters ravaged section of screen wilderness.

obviously, i'd data off macbook , know should able migrate off hard drive if dismantle machine there easier/cheaper option achieve this? hook macbook external monitor/computer/network , use external keyboard , mouse wake up, enter name/password, extract files , send/email/burn them new mac? there other way can access macbook linking macbook pro somehow?

imagine might sunk given can't system prefs grateful thoughts.

, p.s. if in uk has sourced , replaced screen, think cash difference between , migration cost. local shop quoting sixty smackers hour opening up. cheers.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
