Noob, wanting to start making music...

i got 2011 macbook air, , i've decided want make music garageband. mbas don't have audio-in ports though... isn't true audio-in ports don't have of quality as, let's say, audio coming in through usb?

have electric guitar want hook computer.

singing, i'm guessing i'll have buy external mic. (is 1 came on computer crappy?)

have a.. 5 year old piano see has midi-out port. don't understand midi-things except fact allow me use piano play sounds , stuff on garageband. play piano i've never used record anything.

so, need? i'm guessing i'll need "hub" of sort let me plug in guitar cords/microphones? , midi port? need midi usb cord?

can tell, know nothing. i'm needing see i'm going need. want spend little possible, without getting complete crud. if need nice equipment later down rode i'll pony cash, right now, beginning me.

you need usb audio interface. many of these have midi interface in same box. 1 of , connects macbook 1 usb cable.

gb has decent , easy guitar amp , effects modeling can plug elect. guitar straight in , choose "tone". @ "amplitude"... it's free , better gbs harder use. (it's free offer endless add-on plug-ns $5 $20 each.)

how learn? spend $1 on 3 day subscription site , spend weekend watching this. later if full month subscription.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
