mail.app status in menu bar?

i'm wondering if there's anyway kind of mail.app status (e.g. unread mail alert, etc) in menu bar in upper right hand corner of desktop (ie. clock).

work in multiple 'spaces' lot, , it's bit of pain have keep alt-commanding or swiping other space, etc, see if have unread mail. if there little icon notify me of unread mail there nifty. points being able click on bring me instantly mail.app wherever is.
 

you must keep dock hidden, since mail icon in dock shows unread count.

use growl same purpose, included growlmail plugin. instead of menubar notification, small popup in top right corner of screen, preview of message. fades away after few seconds, doesn't in way, alerts me new messages. edit: can click on go directly message, btw, since wanted. keep dock showing, though, if miss message reason still have alert me new messages.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
