How much RAM do I need?

hey guys, mid-2010 base mbp has 4gb of ram. it's been kind of slowing down lately, because of lion update. however, i've been using more programs lately (and simultaneously), contribute slow down well.

anyway, use, how ram need computer run smoothly , seamlessly? here apps tend use, more or less, @ same time:

  • safari
  • preview
  • itunes/spotify
  • mail
  • evernote
  • ichat
  • ical

nothing heavy duty, periodically, i'll use handbrake/ripit, skitch, iphoto, transmission, or photoshop. fwiw, have bettersnaptool , smcfancontrol running @ times. safari-usage, have 2 or 3 tabs open usually. facebook, reddit, various forums; youtube every once in awhile. i'm not using many crazy websites, tabs can add when i'm researching through bunch of online academic journals.

help, guys.
 

4gb should fine you. can add more later cheap.

edit: proponent of maxing out ram if 1 can afford it.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
