Need help, wife just dropped her new MBP

hello,

wife started nursing school , make purchase laptop them. received mbp 2 weeks ago , dropped off side of couch today. (charging) luck have it, have dumbbells on side of couch , landed on them.

works, top case dented , caused top casing curve some. curve causing mbp not stay shut, magnet not strong enough.

have experience replacing top case? cost, how hard, purchase, etc..? 15" btw. screen fine, casing seems problem, pic attached.

help!

try apple. i'm expecting $500 repair if warranty has expired, or $300 if still within warranty.

it'll fall somewhere between price have replace whole top casing , screen along it.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
