How to make PDF files created on PC read properly on a MAC

i have client whom edited book. working on pc, on mac.

edited book in ms word format, converted pdf , sent her. when opened in adobe reader (the processor 2.4 ghz intel core 2 duo) version 10.0.1. document messed up.

there weird spacing issues, fonts messed up, things underlined werent before, etc. designed e-book, , must viewable on both pcs , macs.

fonts used include: book antiqua, , user-made free font called "odstemplik" downloaded dafont.com, , wingdings. there differing margins (for alot of quoted text), 2 full page images (front , cover), bullets, , both bold , italicized text. there bookmarks table of contents, , headers , footers.

i'm working on vista home premium 2007. on mac osx

how can make document "universal" in viewed same on both pcs , macs (as e-book)?

ive tried:
-saving .rtf , having convert .pdf on mac (created new issues fonts/spacing)
-saving .rtf converting .pdf on pc , sending (same problems)

rumors?
-ive heard doing javascript (which im not familiar with) tell file change fonts when opened on platforms.

-saving pages images (how?) , converting pdf.

please me!!! im friggin snap!

that's odd issue pdf designed platform independent. make on pc, identical on mac, or linux machine.

did email screen shots of issue?

did use encode document pdf? adobe, cutepdf, product?

possible if didn't use adobe did not embed fonts , adobe on mac substituted missing font. if memory serves me, adobe acrobat has ability embed fonts option when rendering pdfs

i'd reach out adobe forums, they're more attuned issues
