Bluetooth 4.0

no 1 seems talking little feature...

apparently, 4s first mobile phone feature bt 4.0, has real low power draw, , used nfc.

questions , thoughts knowledgeable on forums.

questions:
1) bt 4.0 earlier iterations of bt did lower power, or low power functions?
2) regards nfc, bt 4.0 have same security advantages?
3) besides, pairing other devices , possible payment system, other things can me done bt 4.0?
4) power draw low enough can left on time no real consequences?

thoughts:

1) idea of phone based payments - let's hope apple jumps on soon, cause if they're going compete google wallet , nfc, need act before google gets momentum.

2) other cool thing i'd see use of allow inter-device picture (or other file) transfer, between iphones or future ipads, when wifi network unavailable.

and found article on topic.

i wonder well. of course bt in iphone 4s backward compatible normal full-power bluetooth devices, don't expect see benefit or advantage uses.

i'd love see low-power bluetooth interaction future ipod nano - things alerts, caller id, text messages, etc. i'd wear nano wristwatch if provided remote wireless display iphone's basic alert functions. have no idea if feasible or not.
