Adding a Partition to Mac HD on Mac OS X Panther

hey, need help. have powermac g5 mac os x 10.3 installed. need add blank partition 10gb. need install mac os x leopard. had purchased copy of full retail leopard install. problem mac won't read dl dvd, i'm not sure why though should read it. created dmg on friends mac , transfered on flash drive. have booted flash drive but, intel macs can boot external storage device. need make partition restore dmg , boot off of , install leopard onto other partition (the 1 panther on , personal documents/files). but, can't figure out how make partition without erasing data.
 

no mac's can boot of external hdd's , odd's , ppc mac's need firewire external ..its faster anyway
second odd's apple use not 1 might call superior , might broken

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
