What Format are Movies on iTunes

ok, trying figure out how apple sets movies in itunes great quality , run on every device. know format apple uses movies on itunes?

tired of ripping dvd's , encoding, , running low on disk space store both versions, rip , encoded version.

there 1 application runs on 2011 mini lion allow me rip, encode 1 format works on iphone 4, atv, mac mini, atv2?

if use universal on handbrake quality suffers.
 

i use atv preset in hb , play on iphone4, atv2, , ipad no loss in eyes, im not picky some.


have issues mkv's transcoded atv2 format on older atv , old itouch.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
