iPhone "Contacts" 4S

i have ipad 2 since june 2011, , got first iphone on october 14, iphone 4s. first experience iphone of kind. ipad has clear, easy use "contacts" icon. why iphone not have easy access icon this? or missing? there way replace/produce it? or easy way work without using it?

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
