Going From Non-Server To Server

i'm looking @ getting 2011 mac mini server.

i've got 2010 macbook pro sl currently.

can use time machine backup mbp set mini server?
want transfer on stuff mbp mini, , sell mbp.

there issue's this? mini allow non-server time machine backup used?

 

there's nothing preventing server-branded mini running non-server version of same os. however, case apple, may not able run snow leopard on machine released after lion came out.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
