MBP HELP for Music Production

hello,

i'm on verge of purchasing first mbp uses in: programming , music production (with logic studio). i'm looking @ having these specs:

17in macbook pro
2.3ghz quad-core intel core i7
8gb 1333mhz ddr3 sdram - 2x4gb

but...my main issue making final decision, hard drive recommend? planning on getting 750gb serial ata drive @5400 rpm memory, i'm concerned setback in long run. input appreciated!

hey...i'm in same boat you. i've been wondering same question until realized imac better , cheaper choice.

given logic pro x hasn't been released tough system requirements , there's risk newer version may strain mbp depending on how many effects , tracks you're playing around with. higher end imac more powerful , should enough needs

if don't care portability , doing recording in 1 place, recommend consider purchasing imac instead.

if dj mbp obvious choice.

advice - if portability not issue, buy high end imac.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
