HDMI adapter not working after upgrade

ever since upgrading 10.7, dynex mini-dp hdmi adapter has stopped working.

i've tried on both 2011 mbp 15in, , roommates 2010 mbp 13in same results. lcd flash blue while unplugging adapter or hdmi cable refuses detect tv plugged it.

ideas? i've tried different tvs/hdmi cables , zapping pram without luck.

edit: on 15in, plugging in adapter switches amd chip , unplugging switches intel graphics.
 

unfortunately, dynex best buy brand, means i'd rather buy adapter china advertised shoe display purposes before dynex adapter.

above makes no sense partially intended, monoprice.com got adapters, of work , half price of adapter @ best buy.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
