Is there any way to force programs to open windowed?

i'm thinking there might terminal command, kind of "-window" in windows command prompt. necessary me, because have strong feeling number of prefixes aren't working me aren't working because of compatibility issues fullscreen not working virtual desktops , that. wrong though.
 

i'm confused... games application can think of default mode not windowed. other apps can think of open in window , not full screen default. can give examples?

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
