HELP! stuck in tiger installaltion-loop!

ok. short version wanna fresh install of os x tiger on mid-2007 imac using disc came computer. disk utility says disk repaired , verified. proceed install os. couple times got error during installation. have gotten through end 3 times after already. problem when computer restarts goes install disc setup asking country , install process on again. when check disk utility, looks physically installed files on drive. disk inevitably in need of repair or can't repair until erase disc again in case disc repair , verify disk says ok. tried erasing disc 1-pass zeroes.

have clue wrong? harddrive dying? or maybe optical drive no good? suspecting optical becaue of how long takes installation process. don't know. haven't looked @ system logs. maybe should next time.

help. in advance.
 

your computer should not going install disc. should boot hard drive , complete installation.

giving conflicting information. seem indicate computer trying complete installation. this, can after having booted hard drive. on other hand, indicate attempts redo installation. this, can after having booted dvd. it?

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
