Best MPEG Streamclip option?

i've been asked convert 20 or 25 lectures recorded in windows media video (standard def, wmv) format that's more mac-friendly (for viewing, not editing).

mpeg streamclip works fine, creates files @ least 2x size of original. of options i've tried have created files 5x, 10x, or more.

there 1 or there several options output in mpeg streamclip convert videos, keep size same?

why not find wmv plug-in quicktime? sorry name escapes me. bought years ago , collecting dust @ work.

have tried adobe media encoder or apple compressor?
vlc opens wmv easily.
how videos being presented?

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
