folks,
have been having heck of time lately. used 17" antiglare mbp while (it wife) , loved living daylights out of it. screen gorgeous. bought 1 myself, in 15". and... terrible. screen literally gave me eyestrain after minute or 2 of use, consistently. polled bunch of other people @ office, , @ least 1 other guy had same reaction - after couple minutes of reading text on had headache.
i've found 1 or 2 people online have reported this, although i've hardly done exhaustive search.
ringing bell anyone? maybe need new glasses (although couple months ago got full ophthalmological workup , told current pair fine)? wanted love machine ended hating , selling it. i'm in market another...
i'm sort of holding out hope new mythical 15" air/pro coming out fall have polycarbonate screen air neither glass nor ag low-gloss plastic.
thoughts? don't want ag vs. glossy battle, because that's been rehashed 100 times. want know if i'm alone in "eyes hurt on 15" ag not 17" ag reason" , if or others did fix it?
i have 15" hr ag , bother eyes sometimes. read online may led backlighting issue rather resolution or antiglare coating. bought pair of gunnar glasses designed reduce eye strain , wear when i'm @ computer long stretches. use external monitor lot of time.
have netbook uses led backlighting , has similar pixel density feel though it's symptom of amount of field of vision 15" screen fills tires eyes. notice @ dusk when there's low light , eyes feel tired , have more trouble focussing should.
sounds stupid make compromises didn't notice bothering me until i'd had laptop 2 months , outside of trying hr glossy there isn't computer i'd rather have adapt , live it.
