Is it good to use an hdtv as my second computer monitor?

is use hdtv second computer monitor?
there advantages , disadvantages?
 

i use hdtv monitor our old g4 mini. works fine. these days there no need pay dedicated "monitor" if happen need tv. tvs have vga or dvi inputs , more , more computers have hdmi outputs. since didn't mention mac have, answer rather general. if knew had 1 of new minis hdmi output, i'd more inclined suggest hdtv.

other issue cost. if have enough tvs lying around, can decent 21 23 inch 1080p monitor under $150 whereas equivalent tv cost $50 $100 more.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
