Problem with rEFIt and MacBook (Black Screen)

so installed refit 0.14 on white macbook, since have tried dual boot mac os x , ubuntu on machine. worked fine refit, until tried customize appearance of refit menu. customizations did on refit, included black background, new icons , remove buttons except available drives.

screen black when boot computer , can't anywhere point. if hold down alt-key while boot up, show refit disk. i've tried boot mac os x installation disc when try enters refit well.

there way can "skip" refit menu , boot directly mac os x? refit version 0.14 , i'm running snow leopard.

i don't understand mean booting os install disc , still booting refit. if boot os install disc, should load startup disk control panel utilities menu , select hard drive. bless /system/library/coreservices folder, instead of /efi folder. next time boot, should boot straight os x.

if absolutely nothing, refit should boot default os within few seconds, , can change startup disk settings once it's up.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
