After two months with Lion, thoughts on my return to Snow Leopard

after seeing many threads filled endless justification on 1 side , pure vitriol on other, wanted give thoughts.

first, missing lion snow leopard:
  • ical: in run lion's release skeptical of ical, can see ui standpoint lion's ical leagues ahead of sl. never thought it, miss faux leather.
  • mail: 1 of headline app changes in lion , reason. however, since still doesn't not play nicely (seamlessly) gmail not miss much.
  • quicklook: lion has perfected quicklook. resizable windows on fly. stays open in background. button open in app. it's... perfect.
  • more refined finder: i'll miss having actual "kind" categories displayed in column view sure. it's small, useful feature in lion.

, now, here things drove me away lion:
  • unstable os: in nutshell. when wake sleep , have perform gymnastics wireless connection (even when network diagnostics says good), there problem. last week went past tipping point when screen regularly not wake sleep few minutes.
  • system performance, memory leaks: chalk whatever metric can cite, snow leopard faster, more stable os. coming , using after 2 months of lion makes incredibly apparent.
  • incomplete implementation of new features: gestures in lion flawed. there bonafied conflicts when play scrolling directions , forward , gestures. same can said full-screen app implementation.

in all, i'm happy can return stable snow leopard os. hope lion can mature nicely in next few months can come it, because of features compelling.

Permissions Problem?

hello. unable log on computer. took mac store , said had problem permissions. reset computer's permissions , able log onto computer. however, since dock resets day had permissions problem. example, had various cs5 programs on dock. when upgraded cs5.5, replaced cs5 shortcuts cs5.5 counterparts. however, when restarted computer, cs5 icons still there. also, whenever restart computer, browser history resets whatever on day encountered permissions problem. can not save bookmarks. also, files required type in password whenever try moving or deleting file. there other problems wanted see if knows problem have before adding more problems. thank   Forums Macs macOS macOS iPhone Mac OS & System Software iPad Apple Watch Notebooks iTunes Apple ID iCloud Desktop Comput...

iPhone won't sync with iTunes
