have 1 of original black macbooks bought around 2007/08. purchased apple care. unfortunately have had 3 hard drive failures, latest 1 yesterday in time have had macbook. thankfully backup regularly. typically apple care has expired well. since third time has happened i'm not going waste money paying new hard drive. being student wondering whether go macbook pro (even though next update potentially major refresh of macbook pro line) or air uses ssd , honest i'm fed hard drives! problem air powerful enough typical student multitasking several large programs open @ once.
wondering third hard drive failure apple nice , refund me in way or give me money off? doubt it's worth shot.
appreciated.
the mba extremely fast, limiting factor size of ssd. if can live within smaller size, i'd go mba on mbp
